Accreditation

The American Psychiatric Association (APA) is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Designation
The APA designates this live activity for a maximum of 11 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit ™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.


Learning Objectives:

  1. Evaluate the fundamentals elements of cannabis and epidemiology   
  2. Evaluate the use of cannabis and impacts of use as they relate to mental health visits.
  3. Incorporate evidence-based screening for cannabis use.
  4. Consider the role of sugar in mitochondrial dysfunction, microbiome changes, trophic effects, and neurotransmitter effects on the brain
  5.  Assess the response and remission rate to KIT
  6.  Review the process and structure of psychopharmacology practice
  7. Improve outcome for psychopharmacology treatment for patients and their families
  8.   Integrate tools for clinician wellness and private practice psychiatry
  9.  Determine the importance of DEI relating to diverse patients and provider population.
  10. Evaluate the challenges of dual loyalty and ethical dilemmas of practicing psychiatry in variety of setting and how to effectively address these challenges

We have doubled our general session meeting space to allow for better social distancing and will be following all state and county guidelines as we strive to provide a safe and enjoyable experience for all.

By participating in this in-person event, attendees agree to follow COVID-19 Precautions & Requirements policy as mandated by the United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the federal, state, and local governments.

Full COVID-19 vaccination and booster is required to attend this year's Annual Meeting in person.

Any attendee who has not previously submitted proof of vaccination or cannot show proof of vaccination onsite will be turned away at the door. You may upload proof of vaccination and complete the in-person event waiver during the registration process. 

 

CANCELLATIONS

Conference registration cancellations must be received in writing on or before February 25, 2022 to receive a full refund minus a $35.00 administration fee. No refunds will be issued for cancellations received after February 25. If your cancellation is Covid related, please email  info@ncps.org.
