After many years working in various universities I returned to my home in San Francisco. I still do teaching at UCSF (Clinical Professor) and Stanford (Consulting Professor) but I earn my living in the outpatient treatment of anxiety and depressive disorders. I have twenty years of clinical experience as well as many publications and presentations. (Please see my website for details.) I do medication treatment and cognitive, behavioral psychotherapy and sometimes use other techniques such as mindfulness. Mine is a good practice for someone interested in getting psychotherapy and medication from one provider. I was rated as the fourteenth top psychiatrist in the nation by the US News and World Report in 2012 (an assessment by my psychiatric peers) and have been voted into the American College of Psychiatry (an international organization limited to 750 psychiatrists worldwide). I am also a board certified foresnic psychiatrist.
