Letter from the Editor - Vol. 70, Issue No. 2

March 2026
As an organization with a 72-year history, we have continuously evolved, adapting to the changing needs of our members and the communities we serve. As Bob Dylan aptly said, “There is nothing so stable as change.” This sentiment feels especially relevant as I step into the role of Editor of our newsletter and Chair of the Communications Committee.
It is both an honor and a responsibility to take on this position at a time when connection, clarity, and shared purpose are more important than ever. I would also like to extend my sincere gratitude to Dr. Steinhorn for the thoughtful leadership and dedication that have helped shape this platform. I am grateful for the strong foundation laid before me and look forward to building upon it.
As we present this latest edition of our e-newsletter, it feels like a natural moment to reflect—not only on where we are today, but also on the direction we hope to take moving forward. Our goal remains to bring people together: to foster a sense of community, to provide a forum where ideas can be exchanged openly, and to create a space where every member feels heard, supported, and valued.
In an era where attention has become one of our most limited and valuable resources, we are especially appreciative of the time you spend engaging with this newsletter. Your readership, contributions, and feedback are what make this endeavor meaningful. We hope to continue evolving this platform in ways that reflect your voices and meet your needs.
