All abstracts must be submitted by DECEMBER 1, 2025 at 11:59 pm PT in order to be considered in the committee's review.

Abstract Submission Guidelines:

  • The abstracts must be submitted electronically via the NCPS website online submission form.
  • Membership or registration for the annual meeting is not required at the time of submitting the abstract for review. For each poster, however, there needs to be a unique presenter (i.e., one registered presenter per approved poster).
  • Abstracts must be submitted in English, on one page (250-word count) and use a structured format which includes sections for Background, Design/Methods, Results, and Conclusions. Conflicts of interest and funding source for the study need to be added to the end of the abstract and bottom right corner of the poster. (Does not count towards word count.) If there were none, then explicitly state “none.” CLICK HERE to view example abstract. Remove authors and affiliations from first word file submissions for anonymous review by committee.
  • Abstracts should include any pertinent disclosures regarding the research.
  • Abstracts should include relevant background, well-described methods including specifics of parameters, study results including number of subjects and relevant statistics, and a clear statement about the novel, unpublished findings that will be presented.
  • Avoid making conclusions that are not supported by specific data presented. Instead provide what the data specifically supports, and what is required in the future to confirm or refute.
  • Abstracts that do not include data or indicate “results will be provided later” will not be accepted.
  • Each abstract/poster shall have at least one presenting author identified who must register and be present during the poster session to discuss the work with the attendees.
  • Co-authors must be entered at the time of submission. They cannot be added after the abstract is submitted.
  • Your name, address, e-mail, and telephone are used for various communications throughout the meeting planning process. Please check that the information that you enter is accurate, thus ensuring that our communications will reach you in a timely manner.
  • Final accepted abstracts should include the title, all authors’ names and affiliations.
  • Research scientists/authors who are pharmaceutical company employees are eligible to present a poster. However, pharmaceutical representatives (e.g., sales and marketing staff) are prohibited from presenting the poster or assisting during the poster presentation.
  • Posters must report only findings of the research. No advertising or product identification by brand name is allowed. If any or all of the work in this poster was prepared with commercial support, a statement “Supported by funding from [name of company]” must be noted in the lower left corner of the poster in Arial 72 point font, with no bold, italics, special colors, or other enhancement of the company name, product, or any other portions of the statement.

If submitting more than one abstract, please submit them separately.
