Dr. Fischer is a Clinical Instructor and Postdoctoral Scholar at Stanford University. She completed her psychiatry residency within the Research Track at Stanford after earning her MD and PhD at Dartmouth. Her doctoral research examined the acute effects of cannabis administration on brain circuitry in patients with schizophrenia and cannabis use disorder. Her current program of research focuses on examining risk and resilience factors in adolescents with and at-risk for depressive disorders. Dr. Fischer was recently awarded the Klingenstein Third Generation Foundation Fellowship in Depression to conduct research that further elucidates the relationship between cannabis and depressive symptoms in youth.
