California Pacific Medical Center

California Pacific Medical Center offers a four year general psychiatry residency program in one of the most highly regarded medical centers in Northern California. There are four residents per year (a total of 16). An enthusiastic and dedicated core faculty provide individualized attention to residents in an environment where education is highly valued. There is a large clinical attending staff that provides supervision in various modalities and disciplines in psychotherapy, pharmacotherapy and specialized areas of psychiatry.

KP Oakland

The KP Oakland Medical Center is our primary training site, and represents the flagship medical center for the Northern California KP Healthcare System. The KP Healthcare System values patient-centered, evidence-based, and integrated care with an emphasis on timely access, positive health outcomes, primary prevention, and patient satisfaction. The KP Healthcare System serves the socioeconomically and culturally diverse East Bay community that includes one of the largest LGBTQI populations in the nation.

KP San Jose

KP San Jose Medical Center is in the heart of Silicon Valley. Residents will be exposed to diverse socioeconomic and cultural populations who provide a rich educational and clinical experience. Our exceptional faculty is committed to developing residents at each level of training as they progress from focused-supervised beginners to autonomous and skilled psychiatrists and colleagues. Training within the Kaiser Permanente healthcare system will provide residents the tools and expertise to be in the future of mental health care, research, and advocacy.

San Mateo County

We are a comprehensive psychiatry residency program with an emphasis on community psychiatry at the San Mateo County Behavioral Health and Recovery Services in the San Francisco Bay Area. Our program offers a personalized and progressive approach to psychiatry residency training that guides and nurtures each resident to his or her full professional potential. We aim to graduate psychiatrists who excel in psychiatric knowledge and clinical skills while also making a deep impact on the lives of our patients, our system of care, and the field of psychiatry.
